This white lasagna involves the clever hack of using egg roll wrappers instead of noodles (which means no boiling). I've been making lasagna for a long time, and there are quite a few variables to play with. Layers of flat lasagna noodles baked with alternating layers of slow-cooked Bolognese sauce, bechamel, and Parmesan cheese. Pasta noodles piled high and layered full of three kinds of cheese to go along with the perfect blend of meaty and zesty, tomato pasta sauce all loaded with herbs.

Instructions to make Lasagna:

  1. Fry the onions and garlic.
  2. Add mince and brown.
  3. Add carrots and cook for 1min.
  4. Add stock, purée, chopped tomatoes, 2 can of water, pepper and herbs. Bring to the boil and simmer for 50min or until most of liquid has gone.
  5. For the cheese source, add the milk, flour and butter to a pan. Heat and keep stirring until thickened..
  6. Take off the heat and add the 150g cheese, stir until cheese melted.
  7. Later in dish: meat, lasagna, sauce, lasagna, repeat. Finish with the sauce layer. You should get 3 sets of layers out of the ingredients.
  8. Sprinkle remaining cheese over too.
  9. Cook at 200oC for 40min. Once cooked leave to cook for 10min before serving.
